The Best Healthy Vegan Recipes

July 19, 2013

Happy Healthy Vegan Friday to you! I hope these warm days of summer are treating you well. It’s been a busy week for me, so let’s get right into some recipes for the weekend.

Healthy Vegan Friday:

As you probably know, I co-host a weekly recipe link-up party called Healthy Vegan Fridays where bloggers submit their whole food, plant-based creations. You can see all of the recipes submitted last week in the thumbnails at the end of this post.

We instituted a new system of voting last week where you were able to “like” your favorite recipes to be featured. Here are the winners!

Vegan Delish Updates:

My recipe app was featured in the latest “Vegucated Guide” for Vegan Tech here! What an honor. Have you seen the movie Vegucated? It’s one of my favorites.

Vegan Delish features over 100 healthy recipes that are also 100% gluten-free and made using whole food ingredients. You can download it for your iPhone or iPad here. The most recent recipes added include submissions by the uber-talented Helyn from Helyn’s Healthy Kitchen, including her Buckwheat Pancakes with Maple Cashew Cream (yum!!!):

Helyn’s lovely Zucchini Corn Fritters are also featured on Vegan Delish:

I’m tickled pink to see my salad post was chosen as an honorable mention! I do like your iPhone app. Being new to plant based eating I can use all the help I can get for recipes! Have a great weekend!

Hey Carrie,
Thanks for choosing my fig pudding as best seasonal dessert!
I’ve had your app for awhile, and I think it is beautifully done. Deserving of a feature in Vegucated. Congrats!
Oh yeah, and this week I linked my article that teaches how to use CRON-O-Meter to check intake of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids to make sure people are on the right track – and have a good comeback when someone is concerned about their calcium or protein intake!
